Shoreside Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team. We are looking for someone passionate about helping us provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our children.
As an apprentice, your key responsibilities will be to assist the class teacher and support children in their learning journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and valuable skills while completing a qualification.
Your duties will include:
Assisting the class teacher in delivering a varied and engaging curriculum.
Building positive relationships with children to support their development.
Working with small groups or individual children under the guidance of the teacher to help them with specific tasks or activities.
Supporting the implementation of learning interventions, such as phonics or numeracy programmes.
Helping with general classroom duties, such as preparing resources and tidying up.
Assisting with administrative tasks, like taking the register or photocopying.
Supporting the supervision of children during play and lunchtimes.

Hours: Term time only, Monday – Friday, 8:30 -3:30pm with 30 unpaid min lunch break
Location: Shoreside Primary School
Contract: Fixed-term until completion of apprenticeship
Pay Grade: Apprentice wage (in line with the national apprenticeship salary guidelines)
