About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Web Designer to support the build and upkeep of WordPress websites using Elementor. You will work alongside our team to create clean, responsive pages, update content, and help improve site performance and user experience.

This is a hands-on role with structured learning, feedback, and clear progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and edit WordPress pages using Elementor (and Elementor Pro where required)
  • Apply brand styling consistently across pages (fonts, colours, spacing, components)
  • Update website content, images, banners, forms, and calls-to-action
  • Create page layouts from briefs, wireframes, or existing examples
  • Ensure pages are mobile responsive and meet basic accessibility good practice
  • Assist with on-page SEO tasks (meta titles, headings, internal links, image alt text)
  • Test pages across browsers and devices, then fix layout issues
  • Support basic WordPress admin tasks (menus, widgets, plugins, backups where applicable)
  • Help monitor site speed and report issues (eg large images, plugin conflicts)
  • Keep work organised in line with internal processes (tickets, checklists, version notes)

  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe Express, or similar

Training and development

  • Formal apprenticeship training with time allocated for coursework
  • Mentoring from experienced team members
  • Structured progression towards building full pages independently
  • Exposure to real client work, briefs, and best practice workflows
