Summary

About the Role

Core Purpose

Work directly alongside Jay (Founder, Solo Car Sales) to build Solo into one of the best-performing dealership brands online with class. This is an embedded role, not a remote content job.

What We’re Looking For

A creative, coachable, calm individual who wants real exposure and real opportunity. Not someone looking to “do social media.” Someone who wants to operate.

Key Responsibilities

Founder Content Capture

  • Film short-form content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube & LinkedIn.

  • Capture content at events, launches, networking environments and in the office.

  • Identify and execute authority photo opportunities with key guests when appropriate.

Stay observant in rooms and spot opportunities moments before they’re lost.

Example:

If we enter a room and key operators or influencers are present, you already know who the priority for content is and when to step in.

Platform-Specific Editing & Strategy

• Edit content specifically for each platform, not one-size-fits-all.
• Understand how Instagram differs from TikTok, how LinkedIn differs from YouTube. • Adapt hooks, captions, formats and tone to suit each audience.
• Maintain Solo’s tone: confident, professional, informative, authentic.
• No gimmicky dances or low-quality trend chasing.

Example:

A reel for Instagram may focus on authority and positioning. TikTok may require a stronger hook and faster pacing. LinkedIn may require a sharper narrative and business angle. Same content. Different strategies.

Fast Execution

  • Same-day edits at events are a key win and should be achievable.
  • Capture, edit, and prepare content efficiently.

  • Be ready for quick approval and live posting when needed.

Example:

Capture a 45-second “inside the room” reel → edit upstairs → ready for approval within the hour. Event OperaDng Mindset

  • Help pre-plan content before entering events (who will be there, what we need to capture).

  • Integrate with diary planning to maximise opportunity.

  • Confidently and respectfully interrupt when a content opportunity is being missed.

Example:

If Jay is mid-conversation and the moment is right, you calmly step in and say: “Jay, 90 seconds for this shot.”

This role requires emotional maturity and composure in high-energy environments where alcohol may be present. You are there to operate, not to socialise.

Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Respond to every comment and like where appropriate.

  • Engage meaningfully — not robotic replies.

  • Build relationships with key people online.

  • Strengthening position through strategic interaction.

  • Social media is not just posting — it is relationship management. Data & Performance Review

  • Review performance weekly (engagement, reach, retention, growth).

  • Contribute to fortnightly trend discussions.

  • Help pivot monthly based on analytics — not guesswork.

  • Understand what moves the needle and double down on it.

Structure

  • Work within a clear content plan and help refine it.

  • Align output with business goals.

  • Maintain consistency and discipline.

  • Understanding all content and footage is the property of Solo.

  • Social access grows with trust and alignment.
