Job Overview:

Active Sports Group is seeking a friendly and reliable XT Club Assistant to support the daily delivery of our Ofsted-registered breakfast and after school club. You’ll help create a warm, inclusive environment where children can play, learn, and grow. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on childcare experience in a vibrant school-based setting.

What will you be doing?

  • Assist with the setup and delivery of engaging activities for children
  • Supervise and interact positively with children during play and snack times
  • Support with food preparation and maintain hygiene standards
  • Help organise resources and maintain a tidy, safe environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff
  • Promote inclusion and support children with varying needs
  • Assist in following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
  • Provide feedback to the Club Coordinator on daily operations
  • Contribute to a happy, fun, and supportive club atmosphere

  • Is passionate about working with children
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and safety
  • Has excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Holds (or is willing to work towards) a Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification
  • Is available during term-time (before and after school hours)

  • First Aid or Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
