Job Overview:

Active Sports Group is seeking a friendly and reliable XT Club Assistant to support the daily delivery of our Ofsted-registered breakfast and after school club. You’ll help create a warm, inclusive environment where children can play, learn, and grow. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on childcare experience in a vibrant school-based setting.

What will you be doing?

Assist with the setup and delivery of engaging activities for children
Supervise and interact positively with children during play and snack times
Support with food preparation and maintain hygiene standards
Help organise resources and maintain a tidy, safe environment
Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff
Promote inclusion and support children with varying needs
Assist in following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Provide feedback to the Club Coordinator on daily operations
Contribute to a happy, fun, and supportive club atmosphere

Desirable/ Essential Qualifications

Essential:

Is passionate about working with children
Is reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player
Understands the importance of safeguarding and safety
Has excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
Holds (or is willing to work towards) a Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification
Is available during term-time (before and after school hours)

Desirable:

Experience working in a childcare, school, or club setting
Basic food hygiene knowledge or certificate
First Aid or Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
