It’s that time of year again! National Apprenticeship Week has arrived for 2026, and Access Industry is here to help apprentices, employers, teachers, students and parents make the right decisions for themselves and their futures.

What is National Apprenticeship Week?

Access Industry apprenticeship networking event

Held annually in February, National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a UK-wide celebration that was first held in 2007, bringing employers, apprentices, training providers and other figures in the education industry together to showcase the importance of skills training and on-the-job learning.

During National Apprenticeship Week, events across the country bring apprentices and educational institutions together to learn more about what apprenticeship programmes consist of, the success that they have and the positive impact they can have on the economy. This event also raises awareness of how to get started on an apprenticeship journey, and either boost skills as an apprentice or improve the workforce and productivity as an employer.

When is National Apprenticeship Week in 2026?

National Apprenticeship Week always takes place in February, and in 2026 it will take place between Monday, 9th February, and Sunday, 15th February.

What is Access Industry doing to promote National Apprenticeship Week 2026?

For NAW 2026, Access Industry is hosting events and promoting apprenticeships to raise awareness of the positive impact they can provide for apprentices and employers alike.

On Tuesday, 10th February, we’re hosting an employer panel for students from our sister college, Access Creative College. This session will feature two of our partnered employers and two of our apprentices, who will be sharing insights into the industry, offering job advice and discussing their experiences.

Our apprenticeship experts, Tom Bates and Kayleigh Judge, will also be carrying out school visits and visiting local job centres to talk about apprenticeships and the current vacancies available.

Throughout the week, we’ll be placing a strong emphasis on apprenticeships across all of our social media channels, highlighting skills for life, sharing employer and apprentice interviews, promoting opportunities, and celebrating the value of apprenticeships. So make sure you keep an eye out for that!
